Attendance plays a very important role in your child's success.  We here at Jessie Rouse want to give your child the education that he/she deserves.  Please make sure to have your child to school on a DAILY basis.  Also note that school begins promptly at 8:25.  If your child arrives more that 15 minutes late, he/she will be marked absent for the morning session.  Also, if your child is picked up significantly early he/she could be marked as absent for the afternoon.  We do understand that there are times that being late cannot be helped.  If your child will be late or absent, please contact the office or your child's teacher  to let them know.  This way, we can work together to make your child successful here at Jessie Rouse!
In an effort to improve system practices, Jessie Rouse School is conducting a Parent Survey.

We value your opinion and ask that you take the time to complete this survey. In order to complete the survey, please go to:

Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be anonymous. Your honest opinion is appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Ways to be Involved:
We invite parents to be a part of our educational program.  There are several ways you can help at our school:

Volunteering:  If you would like to volunteer to be a classroom helper or to complete special projects for your child's classroom, please let your child's teacher know of your availability.  Teachers are always accepting a helping hand.

Special Activities:  We also will be looking for parents to help with special activities throughout the year.  Examples of these types of activities are Family Learning Nights, Holiday events and other special events.

Donations:  Classrooms are always in need of extra supplies such as tissues, hand sanitizer as well as other items that can be found around the house (such as items for art projects).  If you would be willing to donate some items, please ask your child's teacher what items are needed.

There are also several opportunities to become involved in the decision making and activities at Jessie Rouse:

Bi- Annual Family Learning Nights

At least 2 times per year, the staff of Jessie Rouse hosts a Family Academic Night.  This is a time set aside where families can come to school to participate in fun learning activities together.  This is also an opportunity to get a hands– on experience with various learning tools and activities so that you can help your child use the same tools and activities at home.
